I think the usual penalty for welfare fraud is repayment via a deduction of up to 15% from future claims... provided you hold your hands up, of course.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Walked around Marlay Park this morning, lots of Joggers coming at me panting away as I walked on breathing in some of the air they'd just exhaled violently I yhought to myself .. I'd be safer working in the Taxi
Have to agree somewhat with that..out with the dog 2day ...younger people nearly walking into you and a lot of aggression there but at least I could get away...Not in a taxi though!

Nonsense, DM. Evidence shows that taxis are by far the safest way to travel for those who have to make essential journeys. Avoiding crowds is key to slowing the spread and keeping it pithing the desired rate. Ken has probably saved as many lives as any doctor or nurse... not all heroes wear masks and gloves.

The  psychological term would be Self serving bias.Depression and the Self-Serving Bias

Sometimes when people are depressed or have low self-esteem, their attribution style is flipped.

They attribute positive events to chance or external help, and attribute negative events to their own character.

If someone is feeling irritable, they might attribute negative events to a combination of internal and external factors, (i.e., "I suck and everybody sucks.").
But yes, the rank expression would be hungry pox.

Not sure where you've been for the past couple of months... but to put you wide, Vinny is totally against taximen / taxi drivers working. In fact he was the only drivers' rep that argued in favour of us getting the pandemic welfare payment. You might recall the erm posting an article within which he shamelessly sensationalised Mick the moan's passing in his quest to discourage drivers from working.

The bosses won't starve over a few months freight:

So if he cares about drivers that much, why didn't he close up ?

It's an essential service.

@ DM, Did you read what I posted last month ?

I was on the Dog (Phone) to Vinny this morning and to be fair he was not complaining, even though I know how ever much we are suffering financially, he with God only knows how many rentals parked up is suffering a lot more, he told me that he has told a lot of his elder drivers to park up and his offer to them was; "Park up, pay No base sub or rental, your insurance will be frozen and come back when ever you want" and that offer is open to all of his drivers, if'n they wish to continue to work then their usual base sub of 100 is now reduced to 25.

Fook it, ya can't be any fairer than that !

Fer the begrudgers on here, I'm a Cork Taxi driver and Vinny is a Dooblin dispatcher so we don't or never had any interaction in business, we just chat as friends and I asked Vinny before our call ended was it OK to post on the forum of what he said, and he gave me the OK.

I'm Not insisting on spreading the virus as you say DM, I am classified as an essential worker, granted not all of my work is Medical but a good share of it is and the FN discount is Not 50% to drivers as the 15% commission is waved on Medical jobs, so it is 35% which on short jobs which nearly all are it costs the driver about 1 Euro.

A couple of weeks ago you were critizing F/N you even gave the impression you were  finished with them because of the letter. 5 minutes later your back doing their bidding, happy to do the discounted jobs. As for your pal Vinny, he STILL did not close his doors
