53 years ago, some bloke called Martin Luther King said: “In the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear?”

I'll never find the link now but Minneapolis was built/divided on racial lines.  When selling your house, you could legally stipulate it could only be sold to a white person.  Those divisions still exist today.  The corner where that guy was lynched was one of the old boundary lines.  It's not too far-fetched to think that the white cop was teaching the black guy a lesson.  Afterall, the two of them used to work in the same place...  Maybe the white cop was punishing the uppity black guy for crossing the line?

CNN had 2 reporters at the scene of the riots.  One got arrested and one didn't.  Guess which one was black...

Doesn't help when the Orange One tweets "When the looting starts, the shooting starts."  https://www.npr.org/2020/05/29/864818368/the-history-behind-when-the-looting-starts-the-shooting-starts

He's a dangerous man who knows exactly what he's doing.  Nobody's really talking about the 100,000 dead Americans from the virus...  Or the 40,000,000 unemployed Americans...

Anyone caught looting should be thrown into jail for 10 years. just because 4 cops did something wrong doesn't mean you burn the town to the ground. Idiots.

Not that I watch coronation street ...ahem,but a friend told me.at the moment the programme is highlighting racism.last week they showed an episode where a black man took the ultimate stand against an abuser in a restaurant, and embarrassed him infront of everyone for racists comments.later on that evening in the pub, some of the locals were discussing what had happened in the restraunt ,and  one guy said sure when our national football team goes to  play in some of these LITTLE RACIST COUNTRIES around europe, blah blah blah,he was immediately set upon by the company he was in telling him oh you cannot say that Kevin, thats racist.now I know they were only doing their hobs as actors, but it really is typical of the world today.you really CANNOT say anything these days,I personally think the world is gone dukin mad

@Octavia, that guy you had in your cab might be an Irish citizen, but he will never be Irish. Just because you were born in a stable doesn't make you a horse.

Could be the next Pawrick Pearse or the next Leo Varadkar?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
