I gotta agree with octy on this. Them McCanns they just look like they're hiding something, I've always felt that way about them. My daughter is only 3 months younger than maddie, she'll be 17 this year and even now I don't feel overly comfortable leaving her in the gaf on her own, strange but true. How they could of left a 4 year old alone, in a foreign country, beggars fooking belief. They guilty, end of.

The chances of the apartment being burgled by a convicted pedo, about 100/1 as I doubt many burglars are actual pedo's.
The chances of finding an infant child unattended in an apartment, about 10,000/1.

But your argument does make sense, to put it simply, say a pedo watches an area all day and sees the kids with their parents by day and then by night when the pedo is stalking the area he sees the parents leave alone and no babysitter comes in, then he strikes.
But the pedo is going fer an apartment block not knowing where the children are in the apartment block and happens to come across the correct Locked apartment in a block of maybe 100 or more ??
It is a decent theory, but unlikely.
