Bursting the ball

Listening to a podcast last night .It seems like the first and second division of the British football league might not finish this season as some teams just weeks into the season are not paying wages as they have no gate money coming in .One of the contributors recons it might only be a week or two before some clubs file for bankruptcy .How long before League of Ireland clubs begin to go under ?

It's only sport there are bigger things to be worrying about. All them players can apply for the PUP so they won't starve.

Sport is still only entertainment John. When people get laid off the won't care if their team is winning or losing When the vaccines eventually get around to everyone they can go back to whatever sport they follow.

Think Sport became a business most UK teams should really only be amateur Nuneaton Borough V Slough crowd of 312 on a saturday with probably twenty players and ten staff on both teams needing wages .I often went racing in February mid week if you added up the Jockies stable staff and bookies there was more of them than paying spectators .This China Chill might knock out a lot of businesses including taxies that were really not financially viable .I heard Grangers Pub in Ballyfermot is Closed going to be reopened as a Chinease restaurant .Sad day when you cant sell pints in Ballyer .
