Sometimes a person can be  so emotionally bankrupt, that even a major event like the passing of a parent,or loved one cant bring grieve at the time .some people are so overcome with domestic issues, that they cannot relate to the death of their loved one

Always good to talk....had something similar back in 99......the Da passed in the Jan,the same day as we had an appointment to put the deposit on our new house..kept the appointment at the behest of my sis and bro,the then fiance(now missus) got herself preggers in March, moved in to new house on May 1st,got married in June...the Ma(who had been in hospital with Alzheimers since 92) passed six days before the hanging,a happy and sad day, first born arrived in Nov...kinda hit me a few years later that i didn't (have time to) grieve properly.....still feels like a bit of a blur tbh.

did you ever read the real deal by James Caan? I read it lately. there is a great bit in it about when his father died, he is muslim so they do it very differently, you are buried that day, your kids bathe you together, he said as he was bathing his father, he was crying uncontrollably, but he got over it fairly quickly. he thinks it is because of the way its done in their religion, he said British people tend to bottle it up, stiff upper lip and he thinks it probably effects them for longer.
Can't believe that James Caan is Muslim. Hooda thought?

I see now. I googled James Caan the first time and it gave the American actor. I googled James "Khan" just now (when I thought more about it) and yer man off the apprentice thing came up. He changed to Caan at some stage, presumably to maybe get ahead in the British business world. Khan would maybe have attracted some prejudice? Anyway it seemed to have worked.

Nazim Khan is his birth name. cant remember why he changed the name, he gave his businesses different names like Alexander Mann to sound prestige. great book though, very clever guy.

Many years ago I got a Start your own business grant ,ran a small engineering/maintenance business with my mate .Due to a divorce we closed the business I tried to apply for the dole ,the paperwork needed ranged from bank accounts to daily expenditure of food electricity rent .Once you move from one pile of paperwork to the next it can get complicated especially if your hen is earning .

sounds like too much hassle so. unless you were going to be able to buy 1000 euro worth of stuff.
I spent money on a screen months ago thinking it was dead money. To get it back would be like getting free money at this stage. I'll upgrade me phone. Get the car serviced and a few tyres etc. Should bring it up to around the grand or so. 1250 is what you want to spend to get the full grand off them. Fuck it. If it's available I'm going for it.

you sure you can get tyres and service paid for? would you not have had to get them even if there wasn't a pandemic?
Enterprise support grant now open for applications
