Balbriggan fire station crews honour National Services Day

September 12 2020 12:00 AM

Last Saturday would normally have seen a big parade to honour our frontline emergency services but like so many other public events amid the pandemic, it had to be cancelled and the celebration of National Services Day happened online and among front line services across the country.

Balbriggan Fire Station put on their own mini-celebration to mark the event which is intended as a national 'thank you' to all our brave men and women in the emergency services.

Balbriggan Fire Station like many others around Dublin and elsewhere, marked the day but parking outside the base and sounding their sirens as local church bells rang out at 3pm.
