Talking to the Rodent last week .I asked why is it so important to test for Corona Virus .First you only go for a test if you feel unwell so you have already been spreading it .After you get the test they tell you to isolate until you get the result that could be three days if you add that to the time you took to actually get a test it could be 6 or 7 days or more but the advice is if you feel unwell isolate for 10 days .So you dont get any medication or anything when you are diagnosed so whats the use of knowing you have it if they cant treat it .Rodent recons its only for statistics .

Thats the theory but in reality .Kid across the Road got it .He had to wait 3 days to get an appointment after he felt unwell then 3 days before he got the results .He was told to self isolate but he had been infected for days before he got a test .The advice should be if you feel unwell isolate no tests at all just isolate .If they paid out immediately you told them you were isolating they would save the test costs and put it in your pocket .Read somewhere we pay 220 to some German company to do the tests but thats only the lab fees include the testers on the ground and the venues rental costs and the cost of transporting the tests to Germany its probably nearer a grand a test .

jeez ermy the hse have gotten better at it, your figures are way off. as of 12th sept the median turnaround time in testing and contact tracing is 3.5 days, that is from the time gp refers someone to testing to time the close contacts have also been referred for testing. 3.5 days is still too high, 2 days is the target but they are making progress.

yeah i've heard of a few cases like that, hopefully those are isolated cases, otherwise the hse are not being straight with the public.
