One, the timing of the announcement and two, the fact that Trump's operation Warp Speed has given c.US$18,000,000,000 to US pharmaceutical companies to develop vaccines yet the breakthrough comes from a firm that claims it didn't participate in that initiative or receive any external funding?

They also were very public about the upgrading of their storage, and distribution locations in the USA

It's not that odd.  Trump has no interest in saving American lives.  Everything is about money for him.  That $18billion went to his donors and friends of the GOP.  Standard Republican tactics.
