Gardaí say the less-than-lethal use of force options were unsuccessful, and a number of shots were fired from an official Garda firearm at around 12.35pm.

Pepper Spray and Tazar then ball ammo .Shoot the kid in the leg or something ..Senseless .

I read the news reports and watched the videos on here, it did seem a bit harsh, granted he was West Dooblin scum and prob deserved all he got, but I'm wondering had it been the son of a wealthy family from Dort 4 or a coloured person would they have shot at him 5 times ?
I think any decent half trained martial arts Guard (of whom there is many) armed with just a hurley could have brought this man down, but still it is one less scum bag on the streets.

The police had been following him for some time in cars and on foot, was ther not time to work out a better strategy for disarming him? Why was it necessary to kill a man weilding a kitchen knife?

There's rumours going around that he broke a shop workers jaw in an earlier incident.It sounds OTT but the guards aren't trained in hand to hand combat like Chuck Norris.Bringing a knife to a gunfight is only gonna end one way.

I think you missed the point, Ken. It was because he was one of them blax that he got shot. In a broadly similar incident up above in Dublin a white (Irish by accident of birth) man was fined €25 after being arrested by a single garda who he attacked with a much larger knife. The 25 or whatever Gardai who attended the Clonee incident clearly set out to use the mentally challenged immigrant for target practice... nothing more than a lynch mod controlled by a loyalist terrorist. They're all very brave when there's dozens of them pointing guns at simpletons and folk with mortgage arrears... put 'em up against proper gangsters who'll shoot back and all they can do is shit themselves and run.

I'm not sure what sort of bubble your living in if you think knife culture is a black thing Octy... your clearly getting more delusional by the hour. What about the white kids attacking women in Fairview the other day with an axe and a knife, what about the case Tony dragged up where a Mr. Maher was fined €25 for attacking a Garda with a much bigger blade than the mentally challenged immigrant had. One Garda brought Maher before the courts, the 25+ with bullet proof / stab proof vests were clearly intent on hunting and shooting an immigrant.
