These were the violent images in a quiet southside suburb just hours after another set of teen gangs ran riot across north Dublin.

Following disturbing brawls in Malahide on Saturday night, locals were forced to witness a moment of chaos in Dalkey on Sunday.

Frantic scenes show a number of youngsters clashing, stopping traffic in the normally quiet leafy town to attempt to swing and kick at each other.

During the fracas, one teen can be seen getting knocked to the ground followed by an attempted kick to the body after several punches fly.

Dublin Live has contacted Gardai about the incident.

The shocking images come after another turbulent weekend among our young people.

There have been further calls for the presence of more Gardai in Malahide ahead of the summer months as fighting carnage continues to unravel in the village.

Locals in Malahide have been concerned about the amount of anti-social behaviour happening in recent weeks involving groups of youths.

In the latest incident, a brawl between gangs of youths spilled out onto the street in the middle of the quiet village.

Footage circulating on social media shows gangs trading punches in front of stunned onlookers.

The coastal north Dublin village was the scene of a number of shocking anti-social behaviour last week.

A group of youths were filmed jumping on the roof of a car while a family, including a child were inside last Saturday.

In a separate incident on the same day, a teenager was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in the village.

Fine Gael TD, Alan Farrell slammed the horrifying scenes which he said can no longer be tolerated.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live one arrest was made following the disturbance.

He said: "An Garda Síochána carried out active patrols of public spaces in the Malahide area throughout yesterday evening, 8 May 2021.

"One arrest was made following a public order incident.

"The policing of anti-social behaviour is an ongoing priority for An Garda Síochána.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I blame the e-scooters. Add in a cell phone and you have a kitted out drug dealer.
