This is starting to make little sense to me, fer all the expense the only good a windbreaker would do in Eire is to keep the wind off you fer about 2 days each summer on a rare windy sunny day. In the Spring/Winter/Autumn it has no use because it's cold outside anyway.

So is it that you want to be Outside and feeling like your Inside ?
Or Inside feeling that your Outside ?

Good point, but in that instance then I would go with the 'Man Cave' option !

I want it for where the side entrance meets the garden. I don't smoke in my house, either does the missus. Usually the step out to the porch, in the middle of winter.  Not nice, but that's the way it is. So I'm hoping to change that.  Somewhere outside but inside if you get my drift. Grand plans in my head but but but.

To me it seems like a lorra expense fer something that is seldom used.

No worries Horse, most Irish homes back in the day had what we called a Parlour which was usually the main front room and kept in pristine condition but was never actually used except if a priest or doctor were to call.

I didn't wish to see you waste your hard earned (PUP) in the same way.

It'd be a lot easier and cheaper to tell the kids to leave the house when you want a smoke!  Your house, your rules  C:-)
