A lot of generalisations there Octy. Nobody with an ounce of sense approves of looting and violence. Most people complain when they are inconvenienced by demonstrators blocking the roads, as I did last night, and as I'm sure other people did when I, and others were sitiing on the Luas line at a taxi protest c. 17 years ago. Last night's demonstration was just as ludicrous as was our taxi protest all those years ago.

Unless there are tens of thousands in any protest they will be ignored.A few hundred whingers in a population of 4.9 million aren't going to get anything done except delay the traffic.Teaching your kids any different is gonna end up in disappointment.

That man who hires casual labour once again seems to have his finger on the trigger ....The Government will decide on Wednesday if indoor hospitality can reopen as planned, according to the Taoiseach. I thought they already decided or did they decide then undecide or redecide or had they decided that they would decide if there was a decision to be made .

Ken I will offer you the same sporting offer you made me you can have until Tuesday night to cash out for half your liabilities if you want to .

Thanks John M, in light of what is happening that is a generous offer,
but I'm a kinda non hedging kinda gambler.

In my 15 odd years as a bookie shop manager then only once did I ever hedge a bet.
It was from some bitch that had driven in to me and knocked me off my KLR 250 Kwacker years earlier and went on to claim gynological problems in court and Won her case against me while she was totally in the wrong.
In she walks a few years later in to my shop and has her 2 Euro on 3 numbers in the Lotto @ 450/1.
I could not face the prospect of paying her out so I hedged the full 2 Euro Lotto bet to HQ.

.... I'll take 2's on fer a Deuce to win a Ton that says Irish pubs open on the 26th July and stay open, (bet ends Jan 1st 2022) if it is a day or Two later then you still win.

I will take that Ken .......
I reckon that bet is a 'Gimme' now but I fancy a gamble on Mayo (the ultimate under achievers) to lift Sam in 2021, (extra time included), so If'n I 'Cash out' now and have my lot on Mayo to lift Sam in 2021 then you owe me 150 Euro and if'n they lose we are all square regardless of the outcome of the Cashed out Pub bet ?
