I saw one of those faster e scooters on Golden lane last week and yer man was going so fast is trackie jacket was buffetting like he was on a motorbike.

They should design a roadside memorial to E-scutterers, perhaps an e-scutter tastefully wrapped around a lamppost, or better still, embedded in a concrete bollard.

Carnage would be good for opponents of these things. If eScooter road deaths exceed Motorcycle road deaths per 1,000 kilos or whatever there'd be a reasonable case for banning them. It would make sense to lower the speed limit  to 30 kilos per hour where a relatively high concentration of eScooters can be reasonably predicted e.g. within the opeational areas of any "Boris Bike" type schemes.
