More likely in soft tip but, nonetheless, a better option than T18 T18 D16 which couldn't be more wronger. Steel tip players throw most of their darts at the T20 so why go any other way on 140? Players that struggle with tops and tens on the doubles don't win a whole lot in the professional arena e.g. the aforementioned Suljovic.
Wasn't Keith Deller a 19's man?

He could hit the 20s too... but, TBH, he wouldn't win a whole lot at today's standard. In fact, even back then, Eric didn't think he could finish 138:
