I saw a Ford c-max working as a Taxi today, it looked small, like really small !
Are you sure that it wasn't "far away" Dougal.

Nope ! I saw it driving toward me and thought how can a Fiesta have a Taxi license ?
but as it passed I noticed the C-max on the rear.
Defo the smallest Taxi that I have seen on the road recently.

I can't understand why some so called taxi drivers go for small cars with tiny boots as cabs. Its competitive enough without making it harder by refusing  your potential fares because you can't fit stuff in or a fare will just skip them altogether. I saw an African fella at the bus station in a Nissan qashqai having trouble putting 4 large cases in the boot with 4 passengers standing there looking at him with thats not going work faces, but the Nigerian was determined to get them in, the parcel shelf was even removed. I was across the road at traffic light, I was spotted by one of the 4 and the hand went, I nodded pulled in behind and they started taking their cases, the Nigerian was pissed as the fair was going out to a hotel in inverin Connemara. He lost 55 euros. They asked him would he be able to take all these cases he said he could no problem. I loaded them up and heading of in less than a minute.

It's different up in the big city.My car takes loads of shit that I can't charge for and I frequently get jobs on the apps with my car loaded up to the window by some Brazillain or Chinese students moving house for a few days. The journey usually only lasts a couple of Kilometers so you spend nearly as much time unloading as you do driving.Probably not worth it most of the time as they never tip.

You are entitled to start the taximeter when
you agree to take the passenger – for
example, before you help the passenger with
luggage.

The passenger are spoilt rotten, sure they use Kia picantos and VW beetles as taxis in South America. Then there was all the tiny cars that all yous hack scum drove before yis became taxi drivers. All sorts of odd yokes. Most of us just got fatter.Do yis ever watch any old footage of Dublin back in the 60/70s most people were trim probably due to the poverty or rationing or something..

I said this before but I remember parking the Prius beside a late 80s early 90s Toyota Carina out in IKEA and it was tiny compared to my heap.I used to think the Carina was a big car in the Toyota range.Spoilt they are..

Fine vehicle, although the driver looked like Grossberger from Stir Crazy in shorts.
