I can't drive at night for very long anymore.  The glare off the headlights is too much. Ever since my pandemic break for nearly 2 years I simply cannot go back to nights. Fook that.

I have been wearing glasses fer about Forty years, so I kinda know what I'm talking about when I give advice.
I would recommend Vision Express over any other optician and avoid Specsavers like the plague.
Vision Express are very helpful and do not over charge by trying to add on all the bells and whistles, but fer night time driving what you must get is anti-glare lens.
Your PRSI contributions will get you a nice discount, I think I paid just about 260 last year fer photocamatic (react to light) vari-focals with anti-glare (the most expensive kind), and a second pair with just a distance setting and a tint.

Yeah! that effin glare from night traffic and I nearly creased a guy in all black who just stepped off the pavement….You can now get a Magoo  front windscreen fitted at Glass Fix that has +2 vision and anti glare. Its expensive but you can get a 50% grant ifin you are over 65…You also get a discount on your insurance..

When your minding yourself mind your mind ..Sitting on Stevens Green yesterday about 10Am listening to LMFM on the wireless .Took me about 5 minutes before I copped on I was listening to the CRC Bingo numbers for the day being called out ..Dont mind listening to the Numbers but I forgot to do the Bruce Forsyth bit of predicting if the next number would be higher or lower than the last one .
