You'd have to pick an address in the 2nd county and establish an address there on paper somehow.  Get that address into the Govt databases somehow.  Hard to do overnight.

Wouldnt be done overnight .Certain parties could do it gradually .No need to establish you actually live there .Plenty of people living in bedsits in Rathmines years ago .It use to be suggested some parties would scoop up voting cards from absent or moved on tennants and vote on their behalf or so Im led to believe .Students use to register to vote in Dublin Now they hold elections on Fridays so Students and Culchies can return home in time to vote in their home place and not where they stay all week .As long as you only register once you can register in any constituency as long as you have an address in that community .ADDRESS not a RESIDENCY .

We do PR - the big names would get over the line easy enough.  Would be hard to predict & get the fake papers to manipulate the 9th or 10th choice on the ballot paper.  It would probably be more productive to just do a few extra nights knocking on doors?

I'm Dublin Central, a 4 seater.  Paschal, MaryLou & prob Gary Cannon will get in.  Then it's a tossup between Nessa Hourigan (Green Party) & Clare Daly.  And The Hutch  :P  Maybe Clare Daly and the Hutch votes will combine to beat Nessa Hourigan on the 9th/10th/11th count?

But then again, didn't Dick Spring win by a single vote years ago down in Kerry?

Edit:  Who knows?  I'm too innocent for politics  O:-)
