there should have been alarm bells ringing the moment we realised martin was not going to unfuck the trappatoni hit and hope long ball garbage. Couple that with the park the bus routine with a precarious 1-0 lead bollix.  How many times have we heard martin say "when teams play us they can expect a large portion of the ball" etc. Dont forget to tell everybody we have'nt got a game plan and we're fucking shite as well while you're at it martin... Talking about defeatist bullshit. It's maddening anti-football garbage is what it is. The Irish national team set up has been a monty python sketch for a long, long time.

The Irish national team set up has been a monty python sketch for a long, long time.

And it always will be as soccer is not the first choice fer young Irish lads, as the GAA have first dibbs and then it's either Rugby or Soccer fer those that don't go to the GAA.
Mostly we just get the rejects from the English leagues who have an Irish parent or grand-parent and who want to play international football, but know they are not good enough to make the England team.
