I don't wear mine much but during the heat wave I needed to use washing up liquid to get it off.How would one explain to the other half that ya lost it in a taxi while out with yer mates?...glad I don't live in that gaff!

I've lost a lot of weight over the past 18 months so the ring didn't fit as well as it did when I got married 6 years ago. Had been putting off getting it resized for ages.I think it came unstuck when I was digging in my pocket for my wallet in the back of the taxi. Thankfully, my wife is a lot more trusting than yours sounds to be.

Ah, Yea !
That's a load of Bollix !
Yiz was Banging or trying ta Bang a Chungwan under the radar..

Yeah, I was trying to bang a Chinese bird outside my front door while two of my friends and a taxi driver were in the car with me. You caught me out.

Anyway, I appreciate the help from those on here that provided it.

There arent any Nigerian posters on here. You come on with vague details and expect to find property that your buddies could have taken after you got out.Buy another ring and move on with your life.Property gets lost in cabs every day that never gets returned for various reasons.
Just because a driver might hand it in doesn't mean the cop will be honest either.Tough world out there.

I felt it was worth a try posting here, even if the odds were small.

I appreciate the guidance and suggestions of the genuine taxi men on here who tried to help out.

No harm in trying.I've found low-value stuff in the car that I couldn't be bothered bringing to the cop shop.Finding parking outside and queuing up to fill in a form is a pain and honestly eats into my earning time.

If it's a laptop or something clearly valuable I'll drop it in.Baseball caps, sunglasses and Umbrellas go in the bin.I can't charge the Gardai or customers for my time.

Understand that and makes sense. I'd be the same.

Nice comeback there, Tom...half these guys are on the downside of marriage...the other half are trustees of modern chemistry. Don't mind the cynics.

No Merc....but Barry Scott was too modern for me......no notable Nigerian contributors, but surely watchers? Do you guys still live in a time-warp? By my reckoning there are more members here than actual contributors, Merc.....for a man that talks mostly sense, you can be terribly naive.
