I posted before lad on our road does security in Liffey valley they have facial recognition .If you are caught shoplifting they take your picture and add it to a data base so do other shopping centers .When a known lifter enters the center their photo is broadcast to security staff from shops who pay for the service.


That's not facial recognition John....that's taking a photo and sharing it.

The photos are stored on a server and if the Known criminal enters the complex cameras around the shops recognise the face and the shop security are informed by message and that includs a pic.

The big casino's in the states have been using that fer years to spot cheats as soon as they walk in the door.
