Brazil and Portugal are in the same quarter of the draw, so most likely will play each other next Fri or Sat week 9th/10th Dec.

Simon Schama's History of Now

Quote
In his most personal project to date, Simon Schama looks back at the dramatic history that has played out in his lifetime. Best known for writing history, he has lived a fair bit of it too. Born in 1945, on the night of the bombing of Dresden, Simon grew up as part of a generation determined to rebuild the world from the ashes of war. In this film, he reveals the stories of artists and writers who have been at the forefront of the fight for truth and democracy, often at great personal cost.

Fab opening episode.  Two more to go!  yay

I have it recorded. I really like Schama's delivery from the time he presented the BBC's History of Art:https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887235/

I still own the book.

I watched episode one. Very good contributions by Picasso and Ai Wei Wei. Must watch for Octy and Coola.

There is very few new films or tv series worth watching now……Remember when you could swap to Netflix USA. The Irish one is gick!

I just finished this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16450274/ on Netflix, a bit far-fetched but enjoyable.
