Most of you know my opinion of Leo the Gay Foreigner .I believe he has been a totally useless self serving no good cunt his and his governments policies are a disgrace but since this virus hit I have watched Him and his government react .I have also watched Trump and Boris and most other world leaders .I have never been more proud to be Irish and more Proud of our Taoiseach .I hope other World leaders follow his example of how to manage a crisis .In fact I would like to see him nominated for a Nobel humanitarian prize .

I have to agree with you on most of that except that his "speech" was mostly recycled Churchill arse nonsense and the nobel prize is also a load of bollixology . but he is dealing with this current covid construct very well.

FG policies since the collapse has been disgraceful with no regard for people they were all about economy not Society .Billions for builders posh hospitals and rural WiFi while people were living in cardboard boxes .Then Leo took the reigns and went all Social Democratic with Gay Marrage,Divorce ,Abortion NEW POLITICS as I call it ,its a worldwide Pandemic but still Children living in cardboard boxes and moving Room to room .That problem could of been fixed we had the money we are spending it now .That said Since this Virus hit I have watched Trump the so called Leader of the Free world acting like an Alzheimer patient on Disco Biscuits a Joke of a Man who needs to be looked after by CIA Dark Opps .Boris the Buffoon who is going for a dictatorship he intends to suspend Parliament .European Leaders like Macron and Merkel who stood by as Italy a European member struggled with a more virulent strain of the virus .Among all that lot Leo has been a States Man he told us the story and put in place a reasonable payment to prevent people from panicking he did it with little or no Histrionics .The proof of his actions will be in the death rate and the mental health of the Country .I for one feel a greater sense of security here in Ireland than I would in the UK or USA or EU .Among National leaders who I have seen react to this situation he has been head and shoulders above they an Oasis of Calm in a lunatic asylum .That is what Leaders are supposed to be .

The response from the various governments are very similar John.It's the execution that has been different.
The death tolls in each country will be comparible.Although the countries that are more densely populated will have more fatalities.

Have to agree with Ermy, i am no fan of Leo but he has done well. I think being a trained doctor helps a little, himself and Tony Holohan are on the
same wavelength. compare that with Trump who is clashing with america's top doctor live on tv. also i think the social distancing measures brought
in quickly and emergency payments to keep people at home. In comparison to UK, ireland have done almost 19000 tests compared to uk's 90000
test, given the population of uk is 13 times that of ireland, we have done 3 times more testing per capita, again miles ahead.

There is a downside .After this passes watch as society decides who is functional and who are Jetsom .Cant see people falling for the crap we fell for earlier 3.50 for a paper cup full of hot coffee 100 euro for a pair of cotton tracksuit bottoms 700 for a smart phone .Hyper inflation but more importantly hyper self assessment people will decide we gave everybody a dig out during the Rapture and we as a society will turn on the weak links like lone parents ,foreigners dole claimants .Our generosity now will give certain sectors of society a stick to beat others with .Already we are seeing a bit of it with HSE workers being lauded for doing their job .Watch as Big companies with big redundancy liabilities go into liquidation before reopening with lower paid workers and a clean balance sheet .There is a reason the Government are paying part of the wages if you dont let staff go .A lot of Pubs have Unionised old Bar staff on 17 euro an hour watch them getting let go and replaced by minimum wage pint pullers .The Economist in me sees this as an opportunity for certain business to clear the decks .

Youngone I grew up with Una Delaney now known as Sister Michael was visiting her mother today and she was concerned .She said she was concerned that even though the Constitution guarentees the right to practice your faith the Government had restricted the congregation .This is a blatant attack on citizens rights ,she was not so much concerned for the church but that nobody mentioned the suspension of Constitutional rights .Interesting ?

Big Dommos uncle Terry the Provo he wasent a prove had no interest in politics but he did go on a day trip to Belfast in 1971 so that meant he was connected at least it did down the flats and he dined out on the rumour .So yesterday after I lunched with friends I seen Terry socially isolated drinking cans on a bench but Terry was always socially isolated he stank of dead boiled piss most of the time .I dropped him a score to buy in some stock as the off licences are closed today .He said fucking terrible isint it ."Whats that I asked " The government he said bringing in the gards and giving them powers to break up discussions among learned men .he said him and a few friends were gathered in a field yesterday discussing nature as they watched a flock of seagulls pull apart a waste bin when they set upon by the Gards and threatened with arrest if they didnt go home .Terry told them to fuck off what home were they talking about .He was dissapointed how quick we went from a free society to a Police State .He said why bring in a fucking law for 4 days was it just a warning shot ,what next internment .
