For me its assholes who park in disabled spaces who aren't disabled.
I was just dropping someone off there and see there was a car in a disabled space, no disabled pass on the dash. so I double parked along side it. then this middle aged woman gets in, I took my time getting the money then taking the buggy out of the boot, yer one gives me a look as if to say "move". I gave her one back as if to say "you can wait now seeing as you are in a disabled space". she was fuming, started blowing the horn lol. its the little victories. lol

I am, I drive a WAT. I wouldn't park in one unless i'm dealing with a passenger in a wheelchair.
I don't dislike those drivers because they are taking my space, I just dislike them because they are selfish assholes who don't car about disabled people, as long as they are ok that's all that matters to them.
-
Do you have a disability pass/sticker?
-
Do you have a disability pass/sticker?
No. I tried to get one but they will only give them to disabled people, which is stupid in my opinion. As far as I am aware though a WAT can park in a disabled space while dealing with a wheelchair passenger.

Story is from 2009 but maybe things have changed since then?
Taxi parked in disabled bay when picking up a wheelchair passenger (https://www.independent.ie/regionals/corkman/news/taxi-parked-in-disabled-bay-when-picking-up-a-wheelchair-passenger-27071418.html)
A MITCHELSTOWN taxi-driver has been prosecuted for parking his car in a disabled bay after he was called to pick up a passenger in a wheelchair. John Carey, with an address at Baldwin Street, Mitchelstown, was fined €300 by Judge Michael Pattwell following his conviction at a sitting of Mitchelstown District Court. Garda Peter McLoughlin told the court that he observed Carey's car parked in the disabled bay on Lower Cork Street on January 19 last. Carey's solicitor, Karen Kearney, asked Garda McLoughlin if he was aware at the time that her client was a taxi driver. "He was called to pick up a disabled person at a nearby bank and parked the car in the disabled bay in order to assist the person back to his car," said Ms Kearney.
In evidence, Carey pointed out that his vehicle was wheelchair accessible and that he was only parked in the disabled bay for a short length of time. "I had no other alternative but to park there," he told the court. Asked by judge Pattwell if he had a permit to legally park in a disabled space, Carey answered 'no'. "Therefore you have no right to park in that space. There is no exception to this law for a taxi," said the judge.

When I rang the authority who give them disabled passes, asking about getting one, they told me I had to use the disabled pass of the client, now some of the people I drive are in nursing homes with dementia, id say it wouldn't be easy trying to find their disabled pass, if they even have one. WAT drivers should have a pass given to them when they get their licence.
That is crazy that the taxi driver got penalized in that situation, I fully expected him to be driving a saloon or something. Guards where I live dont give a $hit if people parked in a disabled spot all day. in a way I would like to work an area where parking laws are enforced.
if I ever give up driving a taxi I would love a job as a traffic warden, I would do that job for free to be honest. I would love giving tickets to people who park in disabled spaces and taxi ranks.

Drivers with fog lights on.
Drivers that don't indicate.
-
To be fair, there's nothing in the quoted piece to suggest the driver was hired by a disabled individual at the time. In practice, I doubt a Garda/Traffic Warden would issue proceedings if that were the case... unless the driver was an obnoxious prick and/or an immigrant. Certainly one to discuss with the local Station Sargent or Inspector before going to court, I guess.

Was there any proof that he was called by a wheelchair user? Is the driver an immigrant?

who knows. Not sure why it matters if he was an immigrant or not.

Some white lad last week made a home made Flame trower and barricaded himself in to his Gaff threatening to burn the fuck out of anybody that came near .Garda murder the head and shoot to kill squad were sent for they shot him with a batton round and sorted out the situation .If he was Black they would of used FN rifles or Uzi machine guns with ball ammo .

A man is driving up a steep, narrow mountain road.
A woman is driving down the same road.
As they pass each other, the woman leans out of the window and yells "PIG!"
The man immediately leans out of his window and replies, "BITCH!"
They each continue on their way, and as the man rounds the next corner, he crashes into a pig in the middle of the road and dies.
If only men would listen.

A blue permit must be displayed on dashboard in order to legally park in a disabled spot. The owner of the permit needs to be using the car/taxi. Not all wheelchair users will have a blue permit. Not all permit holders will be in a wheelchair. Taxi drivers would abuse the facility if they were issued with permits. FTR, I am a blue permit holder.

There aren't enough bins.Carrying around a bag or two of warm shite isn't as much crack as it sounds. There's one dedicated bin for dog shit in my area but it's not the only place the dogs get walked so it's just a gesture. So the corpo or whoever aren't spending the money on bins.No excuse for the scruffy bastards who dont pick it up but it's like the people in the council never walked a dog in their life.
One day I came back from somewhere and forgot I left two bags of dog shit in the boot and it was warm that day.Next morning I was heading out to work and I nearly choked on the smell. The biodegradable bags didn't leak but they do let the smell out.If people thought they had to pick up after the dog the probably wouldn't have bought in the first place.Like kids I suppose.Everyone wants a baby but nobody likes paying for college.Probably.

I always bring poo bags to the park. Octy is right, cretins who pick up the poo but are unwilling to carry it to an exit should be skinned alive.
The use of "I couldn't find a bin" isn't good enough.
No parks have bins these days. The reason is, people will leave their own rubbish there, and they did. so no bin, no household rubbish.

If yur ever go for a walk on dolly Mount... I go into the marsh on the left or right of the causeway..... The left is really spectacular... There was a bird called Eefa on the wireless today (possibly Liveline) giving out about dog shit all over the place. Apparently she's in a self-propelled wheelchair and can't see the shit 'till it's all over her hands. I guess she could wear gloves?
-
Hopefully it's just dog shit!
-
Ya wouldn't wanna be walking the dunes in Dollymount barefoot... I'd say there's more than a few men on here that left their DNA in them parts in their younger days...

Yea... Thers a paraplegic goes round Saint Anne's an she has a button on the robot wheelchair an her labrador is seen regularly squatin an leaving a big wallnut whirl Shite on the path......the owl. cnut thinks she can get away with it just cause she's a cripple .. If I'm up the mountains or somewhere off the beaten track I'm guilty of letting my dog shit away. It decomposes down and is not a danger to wild life, afaik. For sure I'd put it in a bag and dispose of it properly if it's in a public park or the beach. My dog won't shit on concrete or pee. Has to be grass. People who leave bags of shit around the place should be locked in a wheelie bin for 4 hours with a load of their dogs gick, the lazy cnuts.

Wud yu not buy a butt plug for him horse.... :-\

It's a She, Molly, and no, why should I? I clean up after her, which I have to do rarely coz she doesn't crap all over the place, I feed her proper food and when she has to do a shit, which is rare when I bring her off somewhere, I clean it up. I said before about the plastic bags. I'd prefer if that pox let his dog shit out in the open than fcuking a plastic bag of shit there. It'll break down quicker while the bag of shit is still there 6 months later, stinking the kip up and you only know its gonna end up in the sea when they bury them in the sand dunes, the cnuts.

Always bring disposable bags but if she goes in the long grass I leave it as I will probably stand on it....I bring extra ones for the dog too!!

No. It was on the wireless... I only caught a minute or two of it but it was a serious argument. It does seem odd though... wheelchairs generally have handles on the outside of the raod wheels and, obviously, there's a hell of a lot of non-dog related dirt on paths/roads - there's a reason bicycles have mudguards - so one woulda thought driving gloves would be a no-brainer?

Well if they did then it would be up to the traffic warden or Gardai to fine them, like they do to anyone else who misuses the disabled parking spaces but you cant say taxi drivers would abuse the facility so they shouldnt be given permits to park in the disabled spaces.

Like Domestos claims, I can't be 100% certain. I was quoting for Whitehall park, which is relatively poo free, I can't comment on the dunes in Dollyer because it's outside my 5KM limit.
Did you ever think the nappies were from RC's mate in in the wheelchair? A-ha! 8)
