It's hard to sleep by day fer the night time drivers in this hot weather, so I bought this little yoke online by click and collect fer meself.

At a Nifty you won't be going too far wrong, but on reading the online reviews there is a birra work in it, obviousely it comes with instructions, but a few things the seller doesen't tell you is that;
It needs a towel underneath it as it tends to leak a small tad.
It needs very cold refrigarated water (ice cubes not recommended and don't fit in the filling thing).
The seemingly 'Whisper' noise that it produces is seemingly a lot louder than a Whisper.
Fer a Nifty I ordered one and will let yiz know how I get on.

Perhaps it's female, or elderly.

Sleep at night, it's cooler.

If I was earning the big money like Ken I'd be spending the extra for a small aircon unit.I was seriously considering putting ones that you see in holiday apartments in me gaff.Few grand at most. But it would be a good investment.
Something like this...

Or you could just get a towel and wet it?

I collected my Chillmax air from Woodies this morning;
(https://i.postimg.cc/SJ2dzbjt/chillmaxair-1.webp) (https://postimg.cc/SJ2dzbjt)
Fer a Nifty it's OK, it's small about 7 inches square all round but it does blow cool (not dry) air as opposed to an oscillating fan which only blows warm air at you. Now it ain't gonna be cooling any room big or small, but if'n your sat watching telly or at a computer screen then if you put it about a meter away from you then it is quite comforting.
-
As fer set-up, it was probably the easiest electrical device that I ever set-up,
Plug it in, wet the filter, pour in cold water and turn on, that's it !
(https://i.postimg.cc/mcb69pvz/thumbnail-IMG-0531.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/mcb69pvz)
I haven't tried the recommended filter in the freezer bit yet, or added the un-recommended ice in to the water tray, but I will try them too. I think I will try crushed ice as opposed to ice cubes.
As fer the noise level, it is only a fraction (20%) of the noise level that an oscillating fan makes.

Open yer windows.
Gas thing is , in a few weeks we'll be complaining about the cold, the wind and rain.
-
Fukin first world problems eh!!

Fer me Sins I did my good deed fer the year in Woodies this morning, there was this old fella (80+) in front of me in the queue asking the chungwan fer directions from Woodies to Atkins, Cork South East to Cork South West, the chungwan hadn't a clue so she called over her more mature male supervisor to help telling him that the man was from out of town, the more mature male supervisor (which I could hear) gave the old man instructions that even I could not understand, he directed the old man on to the Magic roundabout (with multiple lanes, traffic lights and 10 entry and exit routes) and then on to a similar Wilton roundabout, Etc.
The old fella was nodding and smiling as he was being told the directions but I knew he hadn't a clue about what he was hearing, I waited outside fer him fer a minute, out he came and I said to him;
"Are ya OK, have ya got it ?",
"Yes, I think so",
"Are you sure, or are you puggled ?",
"I'm not really sure where to go",
"That's my Taxi there (pointing at my cab), follow me and I will bring you there",
"Thanks Mister, that be great".
So I led him (at 30 Fookin kmph) all the way out to the Straight road and in to Atkins, I pulled a U-turn straight away in the car park so as to avoid any payment, the old fella rolls down his window and sez;
"Thank you so, so much", as I drive off.

In my lifetime I will never ever complain about the cold again !!

i've made a right cunt of meself over the years with foreigners askin me for directions.
a cunt in a taxi pulled alongside me one night looking for a place that i knew well but i could'nt explain it.
it was like a two ronnie's sketch.
the correct thing is just tell them to folly your car.

If they're asking it's 'cos they don't know so it doesn't matter where you send them... Like all them bars/restaurants up above in Dublin that are just through there where it's all pedesdrianised.

I take back what I said about the Chillmax Air being just OK yesterday.
(https://i.postimg.cc/3k47Tkcs/chillmaxair-1.webp) (https://postimg.cc/3k47Tkcs)
It's by night (or sleep time) that it is absolutely fantastic, last night I put it on a chair at the end/side of the bed and had a great sleep with it mildly blowing cool (not dry) air over me on the medium (2) setting, as fer the noise level, you would want to be listening to hear it.
As fer it dripping water, the only water drips were from me clumbsily filling the water tray.
As fer the ice in the water tray, I tried that, didn't make much difference, but seemingly it is important to use cold refridgarated water.
Fer 50 notes, I would highly recommend it.
-
How muich water does it use... and does it need a refill during the night and, if so, could you kill two birds with one penis so to speak?
Have you tried taking a short walk on the beach and going home for a wank?
-
Ken doesn't play with hisself...he's got an app for that!!

Where did you get that Ken? My missus went fan hunting today. B&Q, woodies, D.I.D. electrical, power city and argos. Not one of them had a single fan left except for the really expensive ones at 500 or so.
-
I got mine in Woodies but seemingly sold out now. Homestore still have them in stock in Blancardstown fer 35 notes.
It is a mini fan Horse as in it aint gonna cool a room down.
-
It's only for the bed room Ken as it's always steaming in there eh. Would it not cool down a room if you left the windows and door closed?
-

Have you tried taking a short walk on the beach and going home for a wank?
The water tray holds about 60ml or just over half a liter bottle, with a full fill it lasts about 8 hours (not 10 as the manufacturer suggested).
As fer the short walks, the old pegs aren't the best hence I seldom walk.
As fer wanking, that does help with sleep as after ejaculation the body releases an enzyme that helps you to sleep.
-

It does a fine job in the bedroom, you won't even need it on the max (3) setting.
-
Cheers Ken.
-
Had a look there Ken, no joy, sold out. The misses just informed me she's ordered 2 oscillating fans from the Internet. I tried explaining that that's only gonna move hot air around. What we need is one of kens bad boy air con units!

Hardly a 'Bad Boy' unit, but it will keep you cool if'n your just watching the telly or sleeping.
-
If it keeps the room cool it most definitely is a bad boy unit Ken. Pity I can't get one though.
-
I booked my one on Sunday morning fer Click and Collect as I reckoned they would sell out soon.
Ya see us Ambassadors do be always be thinking a step ahead of the regular Plebs ! lol

I would agree John M probably even sooner than Tuesday week, but the little yoke even if it was to break today was more than worth the Nifty.
Apologies to all fer posting on an item that is currently sold out, but it was available when I started this topic last Sunday morning.

I think I bought meself a birra luck by looking after the old fella outside Woodies on Monday morning.

To add, this little yoke was brilliant over the last week during the heatwave.
I would recommend to get one and plank it fer the next heatwave.

It was kinda fer the extreme Summer 30%+ heat-waves that we have had fer the past 2 years that I started this topic.
I think Dooblin being more North escaped the extremes of last month never actually hitting 30% up there ?
But down here it was well over 30% at midday every day fer the best part of a fortnight.
-
It was 34 one of the days up here Ken. I've a picture somewhere of me dash temp.
-
I was thinking about what you said a few weeks back after buying some oscillating fans fer family members and I would agree they do a fine job when it's kinda hot, but when the Mercury is over 25% then they are only blowing hot air.
Fer 35 notes in Tesco (including a Tenner club-card discount) get your Mum one fer next year. I got one fer my Mum this year and she delighted how easy it is to use.
-
It was 34 one of the days up here Ken. I've a picture somewhere of me dash temp.
That was the in-car temp, met eireann only ever showed Dooblin at about 28%.
-
I'm nearly sure it got above 30 here Ken.
-
I'm nearly sure it got above 30 here Ken.
Maybe ye had fer a day or 2 at around 2pm fer a few hours.
We being more Southerly had 30%+ fer a full Two weeks 11am to 6pm every Fookin day !
-
It's a killer tryin to sleep down here aswell!!

I have no intention of making a profit on this, most lilely I'll just give it to someone in real need when the next heatwave comes.
If'n I was an "Arthur Daley" type, then I would buy a shed-load of them and sell them easily on Donedeal at a Ton a piece when the next heat-wave strikes !

It hasen't been hot enough down here yet this year to be pulling out the auld Chillmax Air as the temprature seldom goes above 20%, but I forsee a much warmer summer this year and again I will get my value fer my Nifty investment.
I hope some of yiz took my advice and bought one of these ??
Fer any of yiz with a parent/s still living, then it is a must-have fer them.

All the Casinos in Las Vegas are still standing !!

I bought another spare one in Tescos last weekend at half price using my Tesco clubcard !
Was €45, now €22.50 !!
I did advise everyone to buy one last October !! rofl
It hasen't been hot enough down here yet this year (2023) to be pulling out the auld Chillmax Air as the temprature seldom goes above 20%, but I forsee a much warmer summer this year and again I will get my value fer my Nifty investment.
I hope some of yiz took my advice and bought one of these ??
Fer any of yiz with a parent/s still living, then it is a must-have fer them.
I take back what I said about the Chillmax Air being just OK yesterday.

Anyone that didn't take my advice will be feeling the heat today, 29% in Dooblin, just a tad cooler at 26% down here, I have 2 Chillmax's on the go today, one beside me fer now and another one going next to me bed fer later on.
