I agree with the nuclear bit,if we're serious about goin electric,wind and solar or wave ain't gonna provide the energy we need to meet the unrealistic targets for even 2030,we'll be buried financially by EU fines by then!!

I think you can keep your old heap under the new rules but you only get half a grant (or something like that). Could be a handy Valentine's gift for your missus. Give her the spare wheel from the Prius and tell her she can have the rest of the car in a few months when you're finished with it :P

I put my details into an online scrapper and they offered me only €350.Just used it again using a different county and it offered me €192.Dunno how they calculate it.

Think it was somewhere between €250-300 & they collected it for free. Other places wanted me to deliver it or they would charge for collection. Considering it was dead, I only had one choice really.
