As I sit here after watching the rugby with the Chillmax blowing cool (not hot dry) air over my lower torso (not ears or eyes) it is very relaxing and when I head fer bed at about noon, I place it on a chair at the end of my bed fer a good days snooze ! Best 50 quid that I ever spent !

I bought 3 tower fans in b and q Ken, 51 snots each. I gave one to me ma, she's delighted. The air is actually quite cool coming out and it's very quite without all the need for fluting around with water like your contraption.

It's all 'Kool and the gang' at the moment Horse while it's just about 20%, but wait till the mercury hits 30%+ next Monday or Tuesday and the tower fans are just blowing hot dry air.
As fer 'Fluting around with water', you add a half liter of cold water every 8 hours !!

Believe me John M I was Not designed to live in heat, I've been a ginger all my life. I have never got a tan in my life, I go from Polar white to Lobster red if the sun gets to me and then straight back to Polar white again. Anything over 15% is uncomfortable. I have had photochromic (react to light) glasses lens fer the last 40 years to keep the sun from my eyes.
And I'm not alone in this, there is about 140 million of us gingers (or ex-gingers) on this planet who all share similar stories.

Real taxi weather report .Did a shift today and can report Me belly sitting on me lap in a hot car made it look like I pisses myself .

I always use the a/c, have it on the lowest temperature blowing in your face and on your feet. And with the pollen filter means my hay-fever is sorted. It's actually more comfortable to be in the car than your house when it gets really hot. Didn't stop me chilling out the back today with a cold one or two though.
