The easiest way to get priority when your playing mybollix games is....
1.
Accept a precooked job near you at the time you start.
2.
Cancel that job with about 10 minutes to go.
The job will then appear back up as a urgent job with instant priority.
3.
Accept the job and have a priority status without chasing work during rush hour

Easy enough to do 3 on Sat between 19:00 and 20:00, then you have priority until 23:59 Mon. If you intend working Sunday and Monday it's a no-brainer.

That's if you work Saturdays, I gave up doing Saturdays this year and I have to say it's great having some sort of a normal family life....... So far.

I vary my days off to suit whatever else I have on but Saturday is the mainstay of my working week, sometimes I do 9 or 10 hours as opposed to 3-5 hours Sun-Thur or 7 hours Fri so if I take a Saturday off it'd be my only day off whereas I can take any other two days off. As you get older and less fit it helps to take two days off together if you can. This year I've been mostly taking Wed/Thur or Thur/Fri off, except for the odd lazy week.

Very rarely get priority during the week,it's hard to get three jobs done in 30 mins....even 5mins sometimes!!
I did notice i got priority on Sat night/Sun Morn....but that'll be fukall use to me....as i'll be probably be snuggling up with my favourite wife later....might even pull the shantoos out of her...if she's lucky!!

I can only get the Sat ones. I don't work any of the midweek "peak" hours. I've been working Sundays lately and I generally work Mondays... save the odd lazy week so at least I generally benefit from what priority I earn.

No they don't, I questioned yer man in detail the last time they rang and he answered no question that I put to him, regarding Priority, being 'Put off' the system, Etc. except to eventually after much persuasion admit that he indeed was in a call center. And then he continued reading the required dribble from his computer monitor.

If you asked the nice lady on the phone what are the benefits of being an Ambassador I’m sure she would have an answer for you.

I did, it was a yer man and not a yer wan. I asked very politley about Priority, he had no clue of what I was talking about.

Where are you seeing all this Deboy ?
There is no mention of Priority fer Ambassador drivers anywhere,
Granted ye get 8 cent off a liter at Topaz, which is prob the most expensive fuel in the city.
And Ambassadors get a Free early peep at Pre-books, but that's it !

But all I know is ambassador cars always have priority.
The pre bookings is a different story.
That’s all down to bronze sliver and gold.
If I was on sliver (I’m not an ambassador) I would beat an ambassador car that’s on bronze.
But if he was on sliver then he would see the pre bookings before me .

Snake oil is all it is. The whole priority thing is annoying and the way I see it is that if a driver wraps their car they should be looked after because they are committing themselves to work solely for MyTaxi, they can hardly go and work for Cab2000 or Uber with a wrapped car. Most of the week I roll without priority and use the other apps to make up for work lost to priority drivers.

Mostly behind..very rarely in the direction i'm headin(think we had this convo before)but what amazes me is the distance to jobs because the MyTaxi mapping doesn't want you to do u turns and directs you the longest way possible,i think RC alluded to this and the fact that passengers tend to cancel when they see arrival time/distance from them even though you might well be beside them.

Prebookings don't interest me.
I took a pre-book this morning at 6.43am fer a 7.20am booking just so as to have priority fer the weekend,
that was definately the most boring 37 minute wait of my life !

There are drivers sitting at home all day robbing the decent jobs off the screen.Just means that anything left on it is shite.There are drivers only covering southside to the airport all day.Easy money if yer feeding yerself all the juicy airport jobs.

When they first introduced the Ambassador cars that was was the deal.
Always priority and 8 cent off fuel.
Asked a driver last night who is an ambassador and he confirmed it.

I very seldom bother even looking at them, but as I had a very late start last night
and a late finish this morning I thought that I should get my priority sorted early fer
the weekend. I won't be ever doing that again, I shudda stuck to Plan A !

If you only take the good work the jobs left lose their value.Drivers don't even open the screen anymore.So airport customers in Dublin for example get good service while everyone else gets no better service than those who instant hail.IMO its a bad system that encourages cherry pickers.The worst type of taxi driver.

Took a prebook last night Nangor Road to Tallaght job worth under a tenner waited till it went priority for 7.30 pick up arrived and the scumbag cancelled so applied for scrub but was unable to get priority .

Ya done it loads of times myself.
It’s early mornings I do so traffic not a problem for me.
You have to leave about 20 mins from the time you drop one job for the next pick up as you have to activate the next pre booking.
There is times you will loose a job because you didn’t activate it on time.
A lot of the times it’s the same pre bookings that are on the screen everyday.

There was a ridiculous pre-book came up on the Cork MyTaxi screens last Sunday night.
It was fer a job to be collected @ 5.45am from a house inbetween Carrigtwohill and Midleton to be brought to Midleton train station.
Carrigtwohill is a village about 15KM East outside of Cork city, Midleton is a Town a further 10KM to the East, so the fare (Circa 5.5KM) to the train station would have been at the very best including PUC 15Euro. The Taxi fare from Cork to Midleton is about 35Euro.
This customer wanted to be brought to Midleton train station which is an end of the line station and only goes one way which is back in to Cork city fer 15Euro @ 5.45am in the morning and then pay 3 or 4Euro fer their train fare in to Cork city ??

If you were out around Midleton it'd be a handy 15 notes + instant priority but like most radio jobs, not worth travelling for - but watch out for them Corkmen, they're cute whores, probably letting it go late deliberately so the client will have to take the taxi all the way into the city.

He’s going to Midleton by Taxi.
First train out of Midleton is at 6.15 going to Cork city.
It stops at carrigtwoill at 6.22 (where he gets picked up by Taxi)
Don’t make sense getting a taxi to Midleton to get a train to the City.
Must be working in Midleton.
