Simple competition fer anyone to join in and all are welcome.
How much will Diesel cost at 12 Noon on Paddy's day 17th March 2019 ?
Results will be taken from the average on the Pumps.ie website; http://www.pumps.ie/ (http://www.pumps.ie/)
which shows the average daily diesel cost half way down on the Left hand side.
The Rules;
Circle K or any other discounts do not apply,
(It's the average price shown on Pumps.ie on the day that counts).
One entry per member.
Entries Close on 31st December 2018.
Late entries and posts edited after this date will be excluded.

I don't see the price changing too much, but with Donny T (The kid with the matches) in charge and Tessy May doing God only knows what with Brexit, things could change dramatically any day and most likely fer the worse on fuel prices.
I foresee only see a small index linked rise and I will put my guess in at 141.9

worst case scenario The kid with the matches puts tarriffs on European Cars that fucks up the German economy and the French. With the two biggest economies in the Euro in recession and the brits threating to drop out the dollor could surge to about 140 against the euro and as fuel is sold in dollars on the wholesale market 1.75 a liter by summer might not be unrealistic .Dont know which is more dangerous Trump or |Brexit our Gay foreigner dosent seem to realize that outside forces could crash our economy over night .Then the EU are going to attack out tax rate and demand unity the same sort of unity they showed us in Brexit backstopping .If you can get a job and taxi part time it might be the way to go.

Got satins wheelbarrow through the NCT yesterday so good until july next year hope to get 6 more months then im looking at going electric .After the next election taxes will shoot up .The EU will introduce a universal business rate that will impact our tax take so government will need to increase other taxes carbon tax willbe a biggie along with other consumer taxes electricity will have to be protected a little from carbon taxes but fuel will get thumped .There could be huge savings on fuel if we go electric but again if brexit happens we might have to pay import duty on electricity we import from the uk through the underwater interconnector .For the casual trader like me electric cars muight make sense but if your doing ten hour shifts it might not make sense .

Nissan postponed the 60kw leaf launch this week because of the Carlos Ghosn controversy, that car will have much more range than the current model.It's out next year.The Hyundai Kona leccy is here too soon.

10c per litre more than normal unleaded,on a 40 litre fill(€4 extra) would get you an extra 6 litres....i don't think the more expensive shit would get you the extra kms that 6 litres of normal shit would.

With everyone switching to leccy or hybrid they're gonna see a decrease in consumption if they haven't already.
AFAIK the octane levels in the regular sub prime fuels.. are more than enough.If ya want more speed just press the pedal harder.I used to put Premium into me Honda Vision 50cc when I was stupider.But back then I needed all the extra power I could afford.

I don't have one currently, but I'd expect the Leo chap to call an election before the summer if this Brexit shit really happens.....if he gains any seats at all, fossil fuels will be hit exponentially with diesel topping €1.50 OR in line with whatever price petrol is. I think he'll leave it alone until then.....

Why two decimal points in some submissions? That makes no sense whatsoever.
The First Decimal point means that is in between the Euro and Cent per liter,
the Second Decimal Point is to submit fer the fraction of the liter after that,
and the Third Period/Decimal point/Full Stop means an End. .....

They bin them around 11 o'clock at night as they have a short shelf life, the one I go into usually offered me to take what I want before she does this but I always refuse them, I wouldn't eat that shite and their coffee is not great either.

I’m not a shambasador and I get 4 cent a liter off. This equates to €2.40 a fill, €4.80 a week and about €240 a year based on working for 50 weeks

You'd probably waste more money on fuel trying to get to a cheaper garage.Them Rodius things are a big bus.The old one was particularly thirsty AFAIR.Taxi drivers are obsessed with fuel prices.Just buy a cheaper motor to run and forget about it.
Only a couple of years ago Ken was happy to live without the PUC that cost him multiple thousands a year but now a couple of hundred saved on diesel gives him a boner.I don't get it.

I'm surprised you high earning ambassadors give a shite about fuel prices.The difference between the highest and lowest fuel price is only about 5% of your fuel bill.For me that's 85 quid over a year.I probably find more money on the floor over the same period.
I’m not a shambasador and I get 4 cent a liter off. This equates to €2.40 a fill, €4.80 a week and about €240 a year based on working for 50 weeks
So why not go 'Shambassador' 8 cent of per liter, half price car washes and a Two second advantage on instant hails.
The stickers don't worry me, it's a work horse after all.

You should also consider what you are, in fact, advertising free of charge - a firm that uses hackneys and clapped out shiteboxes masquerading as limousines to cover your work, a firm that is constantly enticing new entrants to take your trade, a firm that has outlined it's desire to replace you with P2P rideshare and/or autonomous vehicles.

That so called NTA paraphernalia is your displayed Motor tax cert, your displayed NCT cert, your displayed Insurance cert, your displayed Green Daisies, your door decals, your Front and Back Reg number. And most likely the dealer whom you bought the car from has his I.D. on the reg plates and possibly your meter installer has a few sneaky stickers on the front windscreen and on the boot, plus your mechanic or service agent has his sticker on the front windscreen as a reminder fer your next service.
I also have a few Visa stickers up fer Sum-up seeing as I don't have to pay any commission on street card jobs.

Dealer has the number plate and disc holder, I've no problem with that as I reckon I got a fair deal... if my opinion in that regard changes I'll remove the relevant markings. Meter installer advertises on the till receipt, I don't issue many receipts so not really an issue but I wouldn't recommend the firm (South Dublin Autos/Mechanic 24) to my worst enemy. However, I'm stuck with them as they're the sole agent for Hale in ROI. On the plus side they're handy for reprogramming as they're open 24/7 and the meter takes an advance program. As far as servicing goes, I do the basics (brakes, oil, filters, etc) myself but no mechanic I've used for other stuff (e.g. main dealer for timing belt, Euroclutch for clutch, local man for suspension) has ever attached any stickers anywhere.

Nope, only legally required stickers on my car,
All discs(NCT, tax and insurance) are not stickers, green daises and door decals are stickers. But daisies are inside.
No reg plate surrounds as I always remove them but since I imported the car myself and purchased the reg plates myself and fitted them myself. Rear reg is stuck on with double sided sticky tape(does that make it a sticker)
Meter installer never puts stickers on car, nor does mechanic.

My last 3 shifts all 12.30am to 3.30am Mon/Tues/Wed nights.
Monday, No priority, 2 jobs.
Tuesday started with an urgent pre-book fer priority, 7 jobs.
Wednesday, Priority, 8 jobs + 2 Scrubs.

Don't think so.The leccy cars being sold right now have a button to disable it so it's not mandatory to have one AFAIK.I've heard them and I'd be inclined to turn it off most of the time then maybe use it sometimes when passing through Templbar or on the quays when the cyclists are blocking the road.I've no sympathy for the folks stepping off the footpath into traffic then blaming the driver because they weren't looking.
The one thing about hybrids and leccy cars is you notice other noises a lot more than a regular cars.Especially on any thing other than a Tesla.The budget leccy cars aren't yet up to Mercedes levels of quietness on the inside.
If it changes I'll just buy a bicycle bell argos.

With the two biggest economies in the Euro in recession and the brits threating to drop out the dollor could surge to about 140 against the euro and as fuel is sold in dollars on the wholesale market 1.75 a liter by summer might not be unrealistic .Dont know which is more dangerous Trump or |Brexit our Gay foreigner dosent seem to realize that outside forces could crash our economy over night .Then the EU are going to attack out tax rate and demand unity the same sort of unity they showed us in Brexit backstopping .If you can get a job and taxi part time it might be the way to go.

Got satins wheelbarrow through the NCT yesterday so good until july next year hope to get 6 more months then im looking at going electric .After the next election taxes will shoot up .The EU will introduce a universal business rate that will impact our tax take so government will need to increase other taxes carbon tax willbe a biggie along with other consumer taxes electricity will have to be protected a little from carbon taxes but fuel will get thumped .There could be huge savings on fuel if we go electric but again if brexit happens we might have to pay import duty on electricity we import from the uk through the underwater interconnector .For the casual trader like me electric cars muight make sense but if your doing ten hour shifts it might not make sense .
