You'll have to do the legwork yourselves but somewhere this morning on the TV or the radio there was mention of grants for electric taxis. I was on the phone at the time and there were 5 separate gadgets on or charging so I can't remember.

There's a standard grant of 5k that all electric car owners can apply for.New leaf has a 150 mile range.Might be good for a part timer like me.

Sorry ..Also on the news they're doing something new for next year.No details yet.I tried to edit but my phone battery went dead..

Maybe the NTA are gonna encourage us to get those new leccy taxis that the London lads are getting.

Probably too expensive for our market. If anything, NTA will want to reduce the cost of entry not increase it.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

The London men are putting up a fight against them.Id be more interested in the new Tesla model 3.Another couple of years before they become widely available.

It'll be in tomorrow's papers. Knew I heard something, so again, congratulate John Erm on his insider info...He predicted the re-issuing of saloon plates on this basis.

I think those mini WATs are only 4 seater except the Ford connect yokes but they're expensive.Keep in mind the wheelies have a fifteen year rule vs ten on a saloon plate.Unless Vinny and Co have some inside info I wouldn't expect them to ever release any saloon plates again.They end game is a fully accessible fleet.The rules are a success.

So you mean the WAT has to have 5 seats plus the wheelchair space? 7
And as for the 15-year rule, I could buy a wheelchair accessible up to 15 years old and still get a plate?

Thanks for the info  ::cheers

The kesh lady on the phone says 5 seat wheely and above.I think they might need multiseaters more than wheelies if ya get me.

Wheelies can be up to 6 years old and can be kept until 15 years old.When they reach ten you need an NCT and suitability every 6 months.
