Good to see Cork catching up with Dublin...
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

There is Two particular households in my area in Cork and almost every night black bags of rubbish are left outside on the footpath, One is on Evergreen road, the other is on Summerhill South about 50 meters away, this has been going on fer many years and I have often seen the ladies leaving out their rubbish on the street, they don't even attempt to be discreet about it, they are of Tanned skin and with Big dresses on (Roma ?) and nothing is ever done about it only fer the council to pick up the rubbish bags every morning.

Knocknaheeny (Untamed world) on Cork's northside is a different story, Fota Lawn and Killala Gardens especially, the residents there just throw their rubbish bags out on to the street, and again nothing is ever said but only fer the council to collect it each morning.

You'll need some from of cctv to protect your bins, I would think. Some passing half-wit in a hi-viz might just pop a lid to see if you're mixing recyclables with ordinary waste.....up to you to prove you didn't do it...some body walking past your house might not like you etc. They won't be bothering people they know will resist or tell them to fuck off........it'll be the hapless, law-abiding mongs who get sphincter-skewed again..as always.
