Acting the Maggot.
« on: April 29, 2019, 06:13:20 am »
I has this drunk idiot in the cab during Easter, I spent 10 minutes driving around trying to find his home, then another 10 minutes trying to get him to pay by card with him acting the maggot by trying to tap his drivers licence off the card reader, then on to the ATM with the same drunken result so I marched him off to the Garda station where he showed the Guard his drivers licence and again acted the maggot with the Guard, eventually everyone was pissed off with him. I was about to leave when he pulled out 7Euro, I told the guard "That'll do" just to get out of there, the Guard asked very nicely would I bring him home and I agreed.

Seemingly it's a proper dose of a job to get a replacement driving licence;

    Fully completed application form for a driving licence D401
    If you do not have your most recent driving licence in your possession, you must complete the lost or stolen permit declaration on the application form, have it witnessed by a member of An Garda Síochána and submit it with alternative photographic I.D.
    Proof of your personal public services number (PPSN)
    Evidence of address dated within the last six months is required if your current address is not recorded on your permit and it differs from that provided to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) if and when you applied for a PSC
    Evidence of residency entitlement
    Fully completed NDLS medical report form, dated within one month, if required in your case
    Application fee of €35.00

I found a little card under the passenger seat last night just after dropping off a customer on St Patricks quay and I recognized the Boat race on it. I stood over by the quay wall and managed to Frisbee it half way across the North channel of the Lee !
