Technology is amazing.I've got a WhatsApp video off some little gurrier robbing someone's car.Then his video of himself joyriding the car.Then a screenshot of the threats made by the owner. Then the hospital pics of the young gurrier after the hiding.What a age to be alive.

It is Safer to have a Two way Radio in your cab, well a tad safer as you are in constant contact with the base and if an incident arise's then you can report it to the base immediately. How much assistance the base can offer is another story.

In the early 90's we had 2 way radios. One click of the Mike and a codeword( ours was as benign as" Dudley "So Dudley at the Blacker etc was broadcast to 300 drivers. Gardai were never needed.

I was totally opposed to it just a year ago but me mate Korky talked me in to it, the 2 or 3 second advantage on instant hails is what is most important to me, + 8 cent off per liter and half price car washes saves a few Euro per week. The stickers on the cab ya won't even notice after a day or Two.
As Korky said to me a year ago; "It's a No-Brainer Ken" and a year down the line I would have to agree with him.

I was reluctant to stick this up but fuk it...on Saturday afternoon I'm driving passed the Burlo and a job comes in at the Fitzwilliam tennis club(200 meters away)so I take it and have it on the screen waiting for the lights to go green.Still have it when I get up to the next right then I look again and its dissapeared.No beep , no cancellation or record of it in my job history.I see a bloke waiting looking into his phone so I pull up and talk to him.On his phone there's another driver coming so I explain to him that I had that job and it vanished.He says driver 50*** is on the way.So 2 mins later we're talking and a van with ambassador stickers turns up like I expected.

This has happened me before where I get there before the Ambassador car with minutes to spare.How the fuk are these guys better than the traditional radio companies if they're feeding a few drivers and giving the scraps to the rest of us.Bunch of absolute cunts.Does this ever happpen to yis?

I don't want to give away 2k worth of advertising for free.I'm not operating a charity.Don't forget every ambassador is obliged to accept pay with Mytaxi jobs whether you get the job off the street or even a rank.Where I work I'm harassed by folks wanting to pay by card already on the ranks.Until its made compulsory I try to avoid it.

MFH are you saying the Ambasdrs have to have the facility to accept Card Payments ?

Yes it was on one of the emails that were sent out a couple of years ago but I don't know if they're following up on any complaints.I'm guessing they want to be able to say all our cars have card facilities.

If you are already getting 2K per annum fer advertising on your cab then best plan is to defo stick with that. H'mmm !!
As fer accepting Pay with MyTaxi payments off the streets, I think I have done 3 in about the 3 years that it has been available and all commission free and Bank Fee Free. Where is the problem ?

When you sign up as an Ambassador, they give you a FREE Sum-up card reader with Zero % fees till Dec 2019.
They even set it up in their office fer you and explain it all, then give you a Ton fuel voucher as a Thank You fer joining.

Good bit of detective work there Ken, all taken on board but me poor 07 Avensis might be allergic to them stickers, probably wait till I have to change and with the extra cost involved may call in the Ambassador Status to assist.
