Talking to my mate who lost his council seat he says Cuff will be replaced as Chair of the Transport Committee on DCC by another Green he warns that Cuff was pushing for the College Gate and OTHER pedestrianisations but didnt have the numbers on the council but now the Greens hold the balance of Power and will be courted by FF and FG as whoever partners with them gets a boost in the General Election he also says they are dangerous as none of them have ever been elected before and might think they can just change everything at once .He says there is a plan by DCC to restrict  motors from parts of the City  at certain times except deliveries and introduce Congestion charges but he doubts congestion charges will happen in the lifetime of this council .He did say the Greens wanted a ban on street parking for non residents inside the Canal corridor .This might work for us as shoppers who dont want to pay to use a car park might use a bus ,tram,or taxi .On Carbon tax he recons 3c on a liter of Petrol and 4c on a liter of Diesel in the next budget and the biggie Cuff was pushing was retro fitting insulation of houses .He warns that the reason for banning on stret parking is to create more cycling space and we must look after our rank space especially now with apps there is no real reason for on street ranks .

We lost our best rank spaces to the Luas already..on the plus side we should be lobbying for bigger EV grants as I've only got two years left on me licence.Poor me.

BEWARE the Green party on the Council .No go pedestrian zones electric cars tolls .I told ladss years ago politics was the answer no matter the question .The tree hugging mungbean munching sandal wearers are taking over the asylum .Expect at least 5c a liter carbon tax on fuel in the budget to help save the planet ..it wont save fuck all but will raise taxes .

Any truth in the allegation Mr Cuffe has shares in an oil company? Some eejit told me it was all over Facebook and that the Greens were defending his shares as a matter of an "inheritance".

EV are not fit for purpose as a taxi at the moment There will be no need for grants they will keep hiking Petrol and diesel prices until it becomes un economic to use carbon fuels .I remember talking to one of my local Councillors who suggested that Petrol stations could be closed due to safety concerns in built up areas .If they make it harder to buy petrol people will opt for eVs .Just look how few Petrol stations there are on the north side .South side a little better provided .More cars on the road since the 70s but about half as many petrol stations .Bit like closing rural pubs forced people to drink at home not give up drink .

Greens are not against big oil they are against the poor burning oil for transport or heat .Its a bit like people in favour of Abortion are not against Sex .

The same psychos were the ones chaining themselves to railings at Greenham Common protesting against nuclear power in the 80's..........never heard them moaning about the dumping of waste off our coastlines etc.

EVs are fit for purpose. If petrol went up a euro a liter it wouldn't bother me.It would only cost me 30 quid a week extra.Let the greens do what they want we've already allowed other parties to shit all over us.

I haven't done 120 km in a long time. They're getting better. The new KIA E niro will have decent range when it eventually gets here.62kw leaf coming soon too.

Although without grants I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

Oxymoron.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Yeah, that story broke a few years ago. Can't remember whether it was oil shares but it was shares that would be considered less than Green, maybe oil shares. Do remember that the fkwit is rich as fk and doesn't have to wonder where his next lentil lasagne is coming from. They're all rich feckers who have got into politics because they've nothing better be doing and because Climate Change is the best fake cause for frauds. Psychologically dangerous feckers, there'll be compulsory bike riding in my lifetime if those fks ever get into power
