Lippy of all the people on here you are the one person I thought could see the bigger picture.do you not accept that drivers are 100% In charge ,yet they run from the responsibility in favour of giving it over to a group of exploiters like Kearns Kelly and Ebbs

Free Now are sticklers for discipline too, DM. They have made it quite clear that drivers breaking their rules will be sacked.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Id say half of them on here probably agree, but are afraid of their slave masters Kearns,Kelly Ebbs to say anything in case their bosses find out it was them
Does any of this affect you in any way DM ? Let 'em at it, who cares ?

Fer me I work the 'Free Now' app or the streets or personal work whatever suits me.
With 'Free Now' they offer me jobs, I don't have to take them, similar to street work I can pick or choose as I you see fit.
Nobody get's to dictate my work to me, they request a very minimal dress standard and a clean car, not really too much to be asking a PSV driver fer and there is no checks on dress code or car cleanliness with Free Now.

Of course it effects DM... we're giving all the work away to the German Now group of "mobility solutions" to do with what they wish.

Funny thing is you're not. Free Now's best drivers pay in excess of treble the freight charged by Irish dispatch firms during the last economic boom. You're actually paying to give DMs work away and you'll pay as much as the firm wants.

My commission rate with MT/FN has never since I left my base 18 months ago ever been more than my old base sub.
And my old base disallowed the PUC even though it was usually ignored.

Your base did not disallow it,YOUand your colleague's who refused to charge it, as a directive from your base are the problem.you allowed a base WHO WAS NOT YOUR EMPLOYER,tell you what to,charge, and this continues to be the problem even today

Why worry so much about trivial things that don't really affect us ?

NTA ruling on PUC :
"Booking fee of €2 may be charged for any method of engagement other than engaging at a taxi rank (including at an airport or other transport station or terminal) or hailing in the street. Such circumstances include a booking made by telephone, email, smartphone app, fax, text or letter, or a booking made through a telephone call or a personal visit to a dispatch operator’s office"

Surely you cant be penalised by a dispatch operator if you apply the law of the Taxi Land ?

You cannot be penalised by a dispatcher full stop.to allow yourself to be penalised in such a way,is an acknowledgement of belief that he is actually your empkoyer .its so sad really

So say you tell this dispatcher you are going to charge the PUC charge, is I likely this would be held against you in the work they divi out ?
