I've never chased or gotten a bobo (as far as I know) and never had the stickers (though I've been asked a few times  did I want "Ambassador Status") I Have no time for the greedy and arrogant fukkers that ran the base I was with before, who genuinely thought that you worked for them and that your money was their money  . Hailo changed all that and for that I'm gratefull.. they provide me with quality work and that's grand .
I dislike the way they are gaming the business though and the way they seem to be controlling it . I will continue to take work from them when it suits   but I'm thinking  that  I should shift the balance  back in favour of  street work and I think that  we all should  consider doing this where and when we can for many reasons >

Divil you have just restored by belief in everything.all I keep asking drivers to do is TAKE BACK CONTROL from radio companies.these owners really think they employ the drivers.I dont know which is worse them treating drivers like employees,or drivers ALLOWING themselves to be treated like employees

NTA ruling on PUC :
"Booking fee of €2 may be charged for any method of engagement other than engaging at a taxi rank (including at an airport or other transport station or terminal) or hailing in the street. Such circumstances include a booking made by telephone, email, smartphone app, fax, text or letter, or a booking made through a telephone call or a personal visit to a dispatch operator’s office"

Surely you cant be penalised by a dispatch operator if you apply the law of the Taxi Land ?
Hailo/MyTaxi disallowed the PUC fer many years !

Worse then that Ebbs actually had the cheek to tell drivers who supposedly run their own businesses that they CANNOT engage the services of another dispatcher at the same time. Now if that dont take the biscuit, then I don know what does.and, heres the part thats even harder to believe SELF EPKOYED MEN actually said ok.they actually allowed him to tell them who they could employ,or who they could not employ

Free Now (then mytaxi) was the last dispatch firm to allow drivers charge full fare and it still requires it's drivers to collect PUC and hand it over on top of freight in respect oil many jobs. It also requires drivers to pay parking fees out of their own pockets when collecting it's clients and charges them commission on said fees. If memory serves MfH was disciplined (suspended, I think) by Free Now (then mytaxi) for some alleged breach of its rules some time ago.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

My commission rate with MT/FN has never since I left my base 18 months ago ever been more than my old base sub.
And my old base disallowed the PUC even though it was usually ignored.

My freight for last week was €91 for 28 hours spread over Mon, Tues, Wed and Sun... without covering any "hospitality" jobs. Imagine what the lads working Thurs, Fri and Sat and/or covering "hospitality" jobs are paying. During the last boom I paid C2K €80/week for a full week i.e. I could work and earn as much as I wanted at any time of the week and it included all bribes to pubs/hotels/car hire return sheds/etc.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Yeah I know.....but given that he's practically retired and a kept man....handing over 115 bucks per week wouldn't be financially viable.

He doesn't employ part-timers (AFAIK)... all full time professional (i.e. Irish by accident of birth) bar one or two tokens. Fortunately, I don't often work more than 20 hours/week and my average weekly hours is well under 20... so my freight with Free Now averages out at less than €63/week.
