You can remove it and get a few quid off with AXA.There's nothing free with any insurance policy. If your getting something 'free' it's been factored into your premium.

Out off all the policies that have free breakdown they all get charged probably 50 on each policy.Out of them maybe only 5% actually break down.Still making a tidy profit for the insurance even if the tow truck costs €150.The lads working in insurance would run rings around the lads running Paddy power.
Easytrip offer breakdown cover for €2.99 per month. I prefer to keep it away from the motor insurance co., as I think that they would load you if, for example, you clipped a footpath and damaged a tyre. Paranoid about motor insurance cos.

i got it for €2.99. Special offer. Cant remember why. Maybe because of direct debit for tolls.

In short, No. However, check to the following incentives/grant scheme to determine if any apply to (your) particular circumstances.

There's a section on my policy thats says my police doesn't cover me in or around airports, airfield or aerodrome or military facilities.

Guess i have to fuck them out at the roundybout now.

I wonder where exactly is "Around an Airport" ?
As in 1km ? 5km ?

Got mine 2.2 brick.   . No one else will quote me and if I want to change it to private it will be quoted as new insurance but still waiting for a callback from Axa wobbers
I thought they are legally required to give you a quote no matter how unreasonable it is?
Snipped from dail proceedings Noonan said this:
Insurance Ireland, which represents the insurance industry in Ireland, has informed me that if a hackney/taxi licence holder is refused a quotation, she/he should obtain three letters of refusal from three different insurance companies and then contact Insurance Ireland, 5 Harbourmaster Place, IFSC, Dublin 1, Telephone +353 1 6761820 quoting the Declined Cases Agreement. Under this Agreement, Insurance Ireland will nominate an insurer to provide a quotation.

He also got a suspended prison sentence and 5 years to repay the compo money that he had recieved.

Ken in the past you have said you pay 50 breakdown cover. I was always puzzled by that , because I'm driving a long time now, both private before taxi, and I have NEVER had a policy that breakdown cover was not free
We did chat about that before Paul, but you never came back to me on it.

I asked you to check your policy, not page 1 because nothing is ever on page 1, but on pages 2,3 or 4 there will be a breakdown of what your premium is, showing you exactly how much your paying fer everything or if indeed some extras are included fer Free.
Read your policy and come back to me if you will.
