Gardaí in Co Wexford are appealing for information after three teenage girls were allegedly sexually assaulted at the weekend.

The incidents happened at about 12.15am on Sunday morning in The Burrow area of Courtown on the Wexford coast and are being investigated by gardaí in Gorey.

It is understood that two of the complainants are 14 years of age and the third is also a teenager and that their parents reported that the girls were sexually assaulted.


Gardaí have interviewed the complainants and issued an appeal for information to anyone who was in The Burrow area between 10pm on Saturday night and 2am on Sunday morning.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour has been asked to contact gardaí in Gorey on 053-9430690.

The gardaí are not making any more information public, "due to the sensitive nature of the incident".

The Burrow is close to the beach in Courtown Harbour and a popular amenity spot with both tourists and locals.

Wonder what cops are afraid of? Why not just report it.....gotta wonder whether they want it both ways. Be seen to be asking while at the same time wanting to sweep it under the carpet.

Report says they looking to question some guys in Kilkenny !

"A manhunt was last night on going in the Kilkenny area for a number of young men who gardaí want to question about the attacks which are alleged to have taken place in the popular holiday town"

What are 2 14 year olds doing out at that time?
At 14 I was always back home by 11pm at the latest.
Parents just don’t care anymore

Wouldn’t be surprised.

But 3 girls assualted and not one of them thought to use their phone to video, picture or call for help. Their phones are never out of their hands.

Is it possible they met some lads, had a good time and cry foul(yes I know it’s a terrible thing to think but it’s happened before)
