I see blackcircles.com are here now the uk online retailer. And they're in partnership with some Irish fitters.Anyone use them. The prices seem considerably cheaper compared to the Irish owned shops.

Generally speaking they are all about the same price, 50Euro is about standard fer a new tyre, unless you drive a Ford C-Max then it's 130Euro per tyre or a BMW which comes in at 210Euro per tyre.

Colin charges me €65 a corner, used to be €60 before Govt imposed a €5 recycling tax or some such.

It depends on the wheel size and profile. The brand of the car has little to do with it.My tyres aren't that common. They're 195/55/16.Usually I can't find them cheaper than 85 each and had to pay 105 last time as I hadn't time to shop around.

I never used antin but Bridgestone on me octavia.... Using continental on the prius and seem to be performing nicely but I am a very advanced professionally trained driver and drive within the speed limits at all times..... For most other criminal antisocoial personality disordered speeding taxi drivers they may not cut it

I always liked the bridgestones too but I'll admit I only ever reached their limits on a motorbike. You need to be rally driving to feel the difference in a car.ABS and TCS takes all the guesswork out of car tyres.

Herbie Tyres in the Beautiful seaside resort town of Balbriggan. His cousin Glen (in Glen Tyres, also in the beautiful seaside resort town of Balbriggan) also charges €65. BTW, Colin has the best wheel alignment rig in the country. Got my front wheels done a few years back and the slip read 0 on the subsequent NCTS report, the only time I've ever seen 0 on such a report.
