They have no visible presence in London. Folk just grab a cab off the street for short runs in the city (cheaper than the tube if there's four or five in a group) and "Uber the fuck out of it" for longer runs.

They are right to just grab a cab on the street, pity they don't do that here also. If they did, I could look forward to the future with some optimism, but as it stands now well,,,,,,,,,,,,, few

No extras for extra people in London (I'm sure there used to be 10p... or maybe that's luggage?) so a group of five can go down the road for less than a Great British Pound a head. If you're on your own or going a decent distance the underground or Uber are the way to go.

P.S. It does pay to know your route if using a black cab, or have Google Maps open... a lot of them will go "round the 'ouses" given half a chance.

As I've explained before an independent driver like me has little, or no chance of survival in this game unless you align yourself with a dispatcher. The fact is , that a huge number of drivers have already done so, thereby I become surplas to requirements I have stated before, I will always uphold the principle of SELF EMPLOYMENT, and I will NEVER allow Kearns Kelly or Ebbs to tell me how to run me business the fact that others do, is something I have no control over, but you can see why I will almost certainly be out of a job. I have also shelved plans to buy a new car for that reason

DM , all the new driver's (and there a lot of them) know no better, they have been sucked in by the App thing, I'm at it over 15 year's , have no intention of giving up , and BTW I use both the App and the streets to make a living.
