Multiple choice are only easy if you know the answer.Even if statistically you got 25% or even 50% by accident correct by guessing.....the pass mark is still is 75%.You gambling lads aren't great with the sums.Gerup the yard..

You see Merc, ...no giant brain required or claimed,....as you correctly avered once, being articulate has fuck all to do with intelligence and I agree.....I couldn't possibly pretend to be able to figure out what made Pythagoras or Kingdom Isambard Brunel tick.....because I'm ok with being limited....the test is a money racket as we both know, but a curried parsnip would get it right eventually without knowing anything about Dublin...as several chaps posting here have proven.

If both of us are wrong, Merc....could it be argued there's an algorithm running different questions based on a person's birthplace. Bear in mind, IBM could determine a person's ethnicity long before Big Blue kept beating Kasparov et al....

It can be beaten but still needs some study.

When I failed mine and went back for the resit I deliberately didnt learn the names of every school in the city.Too much effort.So I was prepared for one question to be wrong.As it turned out there was no question on about them in my second sitting.I did have some easy ones that repeated.

I think it's random but you never really know for sure.One thing I am sure of is it's not the amazing job the candidates think they're getting themselves into.

The new test is a bit tough alright......give you that, but it's pro-symmetric based and therefore is not wholly reliant on memory or intellect. Too many people who can't string a sentence together passing for algorithms to be dismissed.
