The last Sunday of Aug or first Sunday of Sept is a permanent fixture now for the All-Ireland....brought in to facilitate club football and to appease working parents. In fact, with the proposed changes to the calendar the Sam could well be won in early Aug if the provincials are scrapped. Someone once said, you can please some of the people some of the time.....etc.

No, just checked you're right....the Pope's arrival meant they had to defer the Duns v Tyrone by a week....can't remember the yr of the womens debacle but Cork were going for 10 in a row I think.

I'm pretty sure I saw a professional dive yesterday during a tackle.I thought the GAA prides itself on not being as dramatic as the soccer queers?Kinda spoiled it for me TBH.

They need a better punishment system for fouling/diving.Instead of a yellow card you lose one boot.Instead of a red card you lose two boots and so on.
