Ginger Baker, the acclaimed drummer with the super-group Cream, which featured Eric Clapton on guitar and the late Jack Bruce on bass, has died at the age of 80.

Ginger Baker's family had revealed in recent days that the musician was seriously ill following a heart operation. They had asked fans to "please keep him in your prayers". Baker's Facebook page said he "passed away peacefully" this morning, Sunday.
