@ Tony, serious question, would a truck driver not know what load he was carrying ?

I don't know anything about your old game but I would imagine no driver would be asked to drive 39 people through various ports without being told in advance ?

I've picked up many a trailer in different ports and never knew what was in them till they reached their final destination, paper work can say one thing but the cargo may be different, if i was to pick up a container without a seal id check the paperwork to see if it was sent out that way, if not i wouldn't leave the port / haulage yard/ or whatever storage place it was in without getting the proper documentation signed to say unsealed  by whoever was in charge.
But that was many moons ago ken,  its very easy to blame the driver pulling the trailer in this case and i for one wouldn't blame him.
The headlines of driver arrested on suspicion of mass murder is a discrace, the poor man will never be the same again mentality and all the keyboard warriors and the media out there  calling him all kinda names is wrong in my opinion.

Follow the money ..they will check out the owner and drivers to see if their lifestyle is above their wage packet .People smuggling is more profitable than drugs .They could put a stop to it easily if they fined employers who employ illegals thousands per worker .These migrants wouldnt be in a hurry to come to Europe if there was no financial reward for them .Governments are promoting illegals by offering asylum if you can get here or there .

Thanks fer the input El Tonio, I don't read anything on social media. But as an ex-trucker yourself, is it possible or could he possibly be that stoopid that he didn't know what he was hauling ?

The drivers home and business premises were raided yesterday looking for such stuff john, as of this morning he's still being held in custody, so not looking too good for him at the moment.
Looking through various trucking sites a lot of people reckon he's innocent. He only picked up the trailer 40 minutes before hand.

In the truckers defence, no driver would take a cargo of 39 people in a container and allow them no air.
If'n the trucker had of known his cargo then most likely he would have make sure they had air ?
As he had nothing to gain from them all dying.

The worst of it all is the traffickers who put them in the container and got paid will most likely walk free.
