Part of the reason you have to do 14 hour shifts is BECAUSE THERE ARE STILL FAR TO MANY FUKKIN TAXIS most of these taxis are being driven by (especially at night)  Africans. Some of whom cannot speak proper English, and NONE of whom are properly vetted the gutless, spinless politicians Are well aware of it, but don't have the balls to challenge it for fear of upsetting the bleeding hearts brigade, and possibly ending their political careers., And THIS is the reason some have to work 14 hour shifts

 I'm makin more now per hour on me day work shift experiment than I am at nite..
The ammoun of empty taxis in town at nite now is fukin ridiculous....I'm more an more workin the burb depending on the app out of nessesity .....

I hate repeating myself but a cheap taxi business costs at least 200 week or 10k a year to run for an owner driver.If you wanna drive something a bit shite that could be 250/300 a week including everything.That money has to be earned whether you have a pain in your bollix or not.

So if we go back to tenner an hour gross the cheapo driver has to work 20 hours (2×10 hour shifts to break even).Bloke in the expensive taxi 30 hours(3×10)

These are numbers for owner drivers not renters.Take a month off and the numbers get even bigger.
