Never found it to be a dump...then again, Limerick is a step up on Fettercairn.

Cork is a fine City .Im holding court at the Bar and some lad slides up beside me and sings at me in a Cork top C or even BMinor "Hey Jack can I tell you one thing " and I reply "No I already know enough stuff " and I just walk away .Lad just looked shell shocked .We know from our resident Cork Orator they are hard to silence but it is possible .

I quite like Cork. Belfast is great wee city nowadays, too. I was up there this year for the snooker and enjoyed it. Completely different to 20 years ago when there were armed patrols all over the place. In contrast Dublin now has the armed patrols and checkpoints, with Gardai dressed as loyalist terrorists in balaclavas anall. Fair play to the late Albert Reynolds and John Major, the peace process seems to have completely changed attitudes.
