I can't see us getting that PC, DM. Occasionally posts are deleted on foot of complaints but complaints are, thankfully, rare these days. We did go through a phase last year when there were complaints every day, I think one of the do-gooder crowds had it in for us for a while but after ignoring them for a month or two they went away... touch wood. I don't mind racism as such, some folk are racist so I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed express genuinely held views, provided it's not reasonably interpretable as incitement. In your case I know you oppose multiculturisation and you don't mind arguing your points. However, I also know you're a decent bloke under it all and, far from promoting hatred, you have condemned racist attacks and, indeed, helped immigrants in need e.g. the Philipino lad you brought to the Gardai and offered to drive across the city.

I dont know about multicllitoralism  but when people star talking about racism and homophobia and the like, what  I cant figure out is this ......

why is is worse to call someone a N)g(er  that  to call them a  fat bastard ? why is it worse to call someone   F+g_0t than to call them  a Ginger Cnut ?

A global realisation on a personal, as well as governmental level, that we share the planet, and a common humanity, is the only way to overcome the various forces that threaten humanity's very existence. Be those forces war, pestilence, climate change, if humanity's consciousnes does not does not become aligned then the planet is fucked. Yes,looking at the way the world is at the moment, human evolution is a long way from that reality. The animal kingdom has shown in so many cases that survival chances are greatly improved by cooperation. The European project, for all its many faults is, in my opinion an example of survival enhancing cooperation. The many irritating rules it has brought into our lives are outweighed by the principles underlying its inception, and its many significant achievements to date. Hopefully there will continue a global realisation that we have to depend on each other to survive, and that the beardy guy in the sky is probably not looking in, and even if he is, his performance to date is abysmal.

I was in a taxi in Dublin lately, white Irish guy in his 60's, starts spouting awful racist comments about black people, I was disgusted and thought it was at the least very unprofessional, for all he knew i could have been married to a black person and even if i wasnt i was a paying customer and didnt want to be listening to such hateful ignorant crap. im going back to my rule of only getting foreign taxi drivers in Dublin anymore.
