Charge the PUC...it covers the commission most of the time.Most of my pick ups are less than one kilometres away...sometimes less than 300 meters.Lots of the passengers aren't ready anyway so you end up waiting outside their gaff or a pub/office for a few minutes.If the passengers wanna be having taxis magically appearing at their feet they should pay for it IMO.Don't feel bad about it because they don't feel bad about not tipping or in the case of account jobs us not getting paid until the following week.

There will be a time when you miss not getting cash in the hand.App work will keep you busy but the tips will be a thing of the past.
