I had a job tonight and when I reached the joint there was already a taxi there and a couple getting in to it.
can more than one car be given the job accidentally?
other than that I'm loving hailo.
yiz might have another donutgate on yizzer hands.
That can happen, but very occasionally, most likely what the passenger has done is ordered multiple cabs from different dispatchers and taken the first one that arrives. Best job is to sit it out fer the 5 minutes, claim your Fiver SCRUB and Block the customer.

I claim scrub fees when:

i) the job is cancelled by the client after I arrive
ii) I can't contact the passenger and cancel after waiting 5 mins
iii) Non-existent jobs

Just follow the in-app links and type SCRUB PAYMENT followed by a brief explanation (e.g. "cancelled after arrived", "waited 5 mis etc", "kids playing with clever telephone, client has voluntarily undertaken to 'kill the little bastards'", "escaped delinquent, recaptured on pickup", "householder advised that I'm the 847th car to call for non-existent job", "2nd of 3 cars sent for one job") in the feedback box. More often than not they are paid but I don't keep track of them anymore and only realise them from a bookkeeping perspective on receipt.

You should always charge PUC. If the client wants a pick up service he ought to pay for it.

Sometimes I think lads only come on here 'cos they love the look of their own typing... why do we bother?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

ooh, matron!
I saw that but I was asking if the app itself could glitch, rather than because of the customer(s) acting the bollocks.

It can at times but that is rare. I had a chungwan one morning going up to the nest and there were 3 taxies outside waiting fer her, thankfully she got in to mine and the other 2 drivers started ringing her as we drove off and she apologised to both of them and then told me that she had ordered a taxi but then her phone said no internet and the app went off, so she ordered another and the same thing happened again, so she ordered another and then all 3 turned up.

Sometimes the App e.g. the 847+ cars sent for a non-existent job and sometimes the passenger either ordering multiple cars by accident or deliberately ordering different cars from different phones to speed up the service. With much longer run-ins than traditional dispatch firms I guess it makes sense to some clients to play that game.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
