Talking with a Yank this afternoon he says .There is a chance that New York will set up a Freeport a bit like the old Shannon Duty Free industrial estate for tech firms .If that happens the Google Ghetto will become redundant .If the big tech companies can book their sales worldwide and tax free .He recons the scheme could lead to about half a million high paid tech jobs moving to New York City .If there was any truth in this the Irish tax take would collapse .

Thanks to Trump, most of the top 100 multi-multi-billion dollar companies in the USA didn't pay any federal tax last year.  In fact, some/most of them got a tax rebate despite earning billions in profits!  It might make sense for them to have a Plan B (e.g., Ireland) in case Trump's coup fails at the end of 2020 and/or the Democrats ever get back in power.
