Whats in a Name
« on: January 29, 2020, 12:00:33 pm »
Taxi Reg says we must have same name on all Docs when licencing a taxi .Just off the phone with Big Dommos sister .Her name is Ann but she was always called Vickie as her name is Ann, Victoria Big Dommo on her birthcert her mothers name was Ann so she was always called her second name .She was done for using her phone and stupidly went to court to contest it .That was the beginning of her troubles .When she was called she told the Judge her name was Ann and not Victoria and that as she was charged under the wrong name there was no legal case to answer .Judge asked the Garda where he got the Name from he said the Accused gave him that name and it was the name on her Driving licence .Judge asked her if she changed her name by deed poll she said wha  judge asked how the name Victoria Big Dommo was on her licence ?she said that was the name she put on the form years and years ago when she done her driving test .Judge struck out the on the phone charge and confiscated her driving licence as it was invalidly issued in the incorrect name and the Gards are now looking into whether she held valid insurance .I suppose thats what happens when you listen to the Bar room barristers .She now has to get a provisional licence and retake the test and probably lose her NCB .

Surely that should read "and/or drinking tea", erm?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
